A1 :
Can I use SkylinkHome dimmer to dim Compact Fluorescent Lamp (CFL)?
Yes, you can. Any of SkylinkHome dimmers is designed to be compatible with dimmable CFLs. The CFL itself must be dimmable, non-dimmable CFL can not be used with any dimmer. Some dimmable CFLs are not up to standards, for example, limited dimming range, flashing when dimmed low, etc., please select the good quality bulbs to use with dimmer.
A2 :
Is there any minimum load requirement for your dimmer?
A minimum load of 7W is required for the proper function of wall mount two-wire dimmer. Other dimmers have no minimum load requirement.
A3 :
Does one button on a remote only control one light?
No, it can control any number of lights assigned to it.
A4 :
Can I control the lights in a room all at once?
Sure, you can assign all the lights to one zone on a remote and control them all at once.
A5 :
How can I control the individual light separately?
Buy each light a dimmer or a switch. Use one button for one light on your remote.
A6 :
How can I add a 3-way switch?
Just attach a wall remote on the wall and assign it to a switch or dimmer, it becomes a 3-way switch or dimmer. No wiring is needed.
A7 :
Do I have to rewire to install a wall switch?
No. The Skylink wall switch or dimmer has two-wire design for retrofitting. Simply replace your old switch with the new one and the installation is done.
A8 :
I do not want to do any installation. Can I still dim a light?
Yes. You can use SkylinkHome Plug-in or Screw-in dimmer, which requires no installation.
A9 :
Does dimming help to save energy consumption?
Absolutely, for example, if you dim your light to 50% level with a SkylinkHome dimmer, you save about 40% of electricity.
A10 :
I have a large house. Can SkylinkHome remote signal reach every corner of my home?
In open area, it can reach as far as 300 feet. Normally the remote signal can reach every corner in your home. If dead zone happens, add a SkylinkHome repeater somewhere can eliminate the issue.
